This intaglio print with digital transfer and drawing is a recreation of artist’s primary school English quiz paper. She looked back on her experience of learning English as a foreign language as a child. The prints represent the awkwardness encounter in the linguistic exchange between Chinese and English. The artist represent the transliteration from the English word to Chinese Pin Yin ( A romanization system for Chinese language, it is often used to teach children how to pronounce the characters). The work contains a desire to communicate and a lack of words at the same time.
